Welcome back to the bake shop. Today we had a special guest David Holloway, the food editor for the Mobile Press Register.
He is doing an article on cupcakes. Check the paper on Wednesday for the article. The carmel cupcakes were a hit. We made carmel cake, filled the inside with carmel, added a carmel butter creme and then garnished the cupcakes with chopped toffee.
Delicious! We have the fall menu so come by the shop and pick one up. Our hours are Tuesday thru Friday 10-5 and Saturday 10 -12. You can call for orders 621-2253. The busy bakers are waiting for your comments so please blog in. See you at the shop.

Busy baker back in the bakeshop
I just got back from NYC trying to get some new ideas for the bake shop. I will be trying a new carmel cupcake next week that should be great for the fall. The busy baker will be using seasonal items such as apples, cranberries, pumpkins and nuts for fall menu sweets. If you have a special item that you would like to share please let me know. Something New for "Something Sweet"
Surprise ! This is a new journey for the bakeshop. I will be blogging to keep everyone up to date on Something Sweet. Hope everyone had a great summer. We are ready to start our fall hours and bake some new items that will be a delight for your taste buds. The new hours are Tuesday thru Friday 10 to 5 and Saturday 10 to 1. If you need an item before 10 just call 251-621-cake and we can make arrangements for special pick-up. Enjoy the moment with something sweet!
